Permanently Delete Facebook Messages
How To Delete Messages Permanently From Facebook
Step 1. Click the "Messages" symbol on your Facebook homepage. The Messages symbol is located in the top left corner and resembles 2 small overlapping speech bubbles.
Step 2. Click the conversation including the message or messages you want to remove. If it is not detailed on the initial Messages pop-up home window, click "See All" to view all of your private messages. Click the conversation on that list consisting of the message you wish to remove.
Step 3. Click the "Actions" button and after that click "Delete Messages" on the Actions drop-down menu.
Step 4. Click the check boxes located beside the messages you intend to erase.
Click "Delete" and afterwards click "Delete Messages" to validate that you wish to delete the selected messages.
Suggestion
To remove a whole conversation instead of specific messages, click "Delete Conversation" after clicking the Actions food selection in the 3rd action.
Caution
Deleting a personal message in your Messages inbox does not erase it from the inbox of your conversation partner.
